Through the practices of gentle trauma-responsive yoga, meditation, and discussion we will open to the heart quality of equanimity. Equanimity, at the heart of both the Yoga and Buddhist tradition, is non-reactive, spacious presence. It is our capacity to have mental composure in the face of uncertainty and to feel balanced when we feel conflict or resistance. Equanimity is a boundless quality of our heart which is inherent to our being yet gets obscured through conditioning, stress, and trauma. Practice bringing the heart into balance in challenging times. Beginners are welcome. In beloved community, we will co-create an anti-racist, anti-patriarchal, pro-Trans, pro-Queer, pro-Immigrant space through community agreements. An organic plant-centered lunch is provided. (vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary restrictions available)
