Join Satya de la Paz August and Shirley Johnson, LMFT for a day of inquiry around caretaking, people pleasing and trusting ourselves and honoring our no.
Through movement, meditation, conversation and creativity, together we call and bring our awareness to feeling our no and learning to communicate it. What gets in the way of accessing what we truly want in the moment? What gets us into situations that lead to us feeling overwhelmed, fatigued and abandoning ourselves? What makes us care for someone/something else at the expense of our own well being?
Inquire into the roles you hold as a helper, healer, care provider and hold space for the part of you that may be needing care and support.
“Boundaries are the distance at which I can love you and me simultaneously.”
― Prentis Hemphill
“Boundaries give us the space to do the work of loving ourselves. They might be, actually, the first and fundamental expression of self-love. ― Prentis Hemphill
"The root of codependency is not feeling lovable. Codependency stems from self hatred and a sense of unworthiness.
– Shirley Johnson
