Since discovering Anusara Yoga in 2007, Ashley’s relationship with mat, breath, and body has been the most consistent, healing, and empowering one in her life. This practice and its teachings have offered her deep refuge, as well as wisdom and inspiration for living an embodied and aligned life. Her college years opened her up to Eastern spirituality, and she graduated with a degree from UC Berkeley rooted in environmental justice, sustainability, and feminist theories of power & oppression. In 2016, she completed a 200-hr Iyengar-based yoga teacher training with Square One Yoga, alongside a 500-hr program in massage and bodywork, integrating Eastern & Western modalities. She has been both teaching yoga and practicing bodywork ever since.

Her approach to everything being interdisciplinary, she weaves in knowledge and inspiration from different traditions into her classes.
Her style of teaching is both challenging and nurturing, balancing playful fire with earthy introspection. She hopes to create a space where students can connect with themselves deeply, lovingly, as well as push themselves to new limits. She believes fully in the transformative nature of this practice, and can’t wait to share it with you on the mat!
