Yemoja is the mother of all waters. She is rooted in the West African culture and all over the African Diaspora. This workshop series is designed for women of all backgrounds, mobility levels, and beginners of dance. Each session will invite the opportunity to integrate your mind, body, and spirit with your emotions. Farcia uses vocal guidance, Breathwork, somatic therapies, and dynamic music with African drumbeats to support this experience!

During the 3 weeks, you'll get to celebrate your body, invigorate your mind, and liberate your feminine spirit! We will explore the Sacral Chakra by moving with fun, grounding, and low-impact African Healing water dances.

By committing to the 3 weekly sessions and moving with the Nia 5 sensations; (flexibility, agility, mobility, strength, and stability) the ease of opening up joints and muscle toning/conditioning in your body can take form. You'll also have the opportunity to learn how to soothe your soul through the practice of the Nia 5 Stages of Self-healing, an organic floor practice that you will be able to take home and make yours!

Bio

Farcia De'Toles coined the term Natural Rhythm Healing to describe her work. In its practice, Natural Rhythm Healing conscientiously embodies the breath through movement. Farcia's vision is to empower others with tools, through dance, movement, and healing therapies and to honor the spirit within. Her goal is to make the joy of movement accessible to all people, moving past health status, age, experience or body type through the low-impact practice of Nia and African Healing Dance. Farcia De’Toles, a native of Liberia, West Africa, learned the power of rhythm and its natural healing connection firsthand. With those memories deeply embedded in her spirit and combining her education, training, teaching and practice of dance, movement and massage, Farcia has infused this innate wisdom into her unique Natural Rhythm Healing Techniques since 2000. Farcia believes, like her ancestors believed, that dance is done with purpose. Nia, like African Dance, in its purest sense, is done with the intentions of healing and celebrating the mind, body, soul and community...all in a spirit of peace & harmony with oneself, the village and the universe.
